Administrative Assistant Jobs – We’re Hiring!

Join Our Admin Team! 

We are currently growing and we need to expand our Admin Team! We are looking to fill full-time and part-time Administrative Assistant Jobs at our main location. (12801 Flushing Meadows Drive, Ste 100, St Louis MO 63131). Typical hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, although the position may have some flexibility with hours. 

Here at Agape, we pride ourselves on giving excellent customer service to clients and independent counselors, alike, and that wouldn’t be possible without our fantastic Admin Team!

Agape’s administrative team handles billing and the client intake process. They are the new clients’ first encounter with Agape and we want that experience to be empathetic, warm, compassionate, and friendly. Our goal is to give each client the individual attention they need and help to match them with the counselor that fits best for them. In addition, the admin team takes care of billing, submitting and posting insurance claims, and updating client accounts.

We are looking for awesome people who have a servant’s heart and friendly demeanor. Some of our admin team has joined us while working toward a degree in counseling, and have gone on to become full time counselors with us. We love investing in people who are passionate about our mission. Above all, we are looking for people with a positive attitude, eager to learn, and a great fit with our other team members.

Applicant requirements:

  • Statement of Faith in alignment with company values
  • An understanding of and experience with the mental health field
  • Comfortable answering phones
  • Sensitivity when speaking with clients about mental health needs
  • Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA regulations
  • Excellent organization, writing & communication skills
  • Proficiency with computers and technology 
  • Experience in customer service
  • A warm and friendly demeanor
  • Empathy and Passion for helping others
  • Ability to integrate and work well within our current team!

Responsibilities of an Administrative Assistant include:

  • Answering phones / returning voice mails 
  • Submitting insurance claims
  • Follow up calls with insurances, as needed
  • Checking clients in at front desk when they arrive for sessions
  • Providing outstanding customer service to clients
  • Conducting warm and compassionate first contact with new clients 
  • Gathering initial info from new clients in order to connect them with our counselors
  • Helping to match new clients with counselors
  • Answering questions and concerns related to billing 
  • Entering data into the billing software system
  • Completing credit card transactions
  • Checking insurance benefits
  • Complying with HIPAA regulations
  • Working well within an awesome team of administrative personnel

We believe that mental health counseling should be easily accessible to anyone who needs help. Our mission is to offer outstanding, professional counseling services that are affordable to the client, regardless of their financial status. As such, we accept most insurances and offer a sliding fee scale for those without insurance or mental health coverage.

We currently offer in-person counseling (under COVID safety precautions) as well as virtual / online sessions.

We are a community of counselors, working together for the same cause. Our organization offers a family-like atmosphere and lots of opportunity for learning and supervision. As an independent provider of Agape, our counselors get to run their own practice, but also have the benefit of working alongside other counselors and administrative staff for support, encouragement, and collaboration!
