Addiction Counselors

Bob Vass, MEd, LPC, NCC

Bob Vass works with individuals, families, and couples. He works with all ages, from ages 5 to 95. Having counseled the blind, Bob specializes in helping those with disabilities and special needs. After teaching high school for 33 years, Bob enjoys working with older teens as well as younger adolescents. Bob’s marriage to his wife of over 40 years forms the basis of what it takes to have a successful marriage relationship.

Bob’s experience includes not only the years he has worked for Agape, but also as a high school counselor. In addition, he did his internship at the St. Louis Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center. Along with that comes a heart for those suffering from PTSD, trauma and its related anxieties, sleep disorders, and depression. Bob volunteered as a helper with the St. Louis Society for the Blind. Last, but not least, as an ordained church elder, Bob enjoys helping clients with spiritual issues.

His graduate education includes the following: MEd in Counseling from UMSL, MFA in Creative Writing from UMSL, MA in English from UMSL, MA in Biblical Studies from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis.

His clinical interests include:
