Kristy Cobillas earned her Master’s of Education in Counseling from the University of Missouri St. Louis. She specializes in working with adults who have a history of childhood abuse and/or neglect, and works extremely well with those who suffer from pervasive anxiety and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Kristy has been trained to utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to facilitate the processing of trauma. She also utilizes Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in the treatment of trauma and anxiety.
Prior to pursuing the counseling field, she owned several businesses, and currently, she and her husband pastor a church/501(c)3 organization in Hazelwood, MO, called The Joshua House, which they started in 2000.
