Ryan Sosman earned his Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Maryville University in St. Louis, MO and his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at University of Missouri-St. Louis in St. Louis, MO. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri and Missouri certified in Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Ryan has 5 years experience working with individuals with severe and chronic mental illness including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Social Phobia, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Antisocial Personality Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder. He also has 5 years experience in treating addiction and substance abuse disorders, including group and individual therapy.
Ryan also utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy. He believes it is important to match his approach to counseling to the individual needs of each client. His heart and passion is to work with couples, families, children and all individuals, seeking to enhance their lives. Ryan’s core belief includes helping individuals discover their self-identity and purpose given to them from God, and to help them learn how to utilize that knowledge in their everyday lives.
