Tricia Pyatt earned her Masters in counseling at Missouri Baptist University, and completed her internship at Agape Christian Counseling Services. She is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) in the state of Missouri. She has experience working with children, adolescents, individuals, and couples, dealing with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Grief & Loss, Parents of challenging children, marital stress and more. Tricia also has experience with group counseling for children, and especially enjoys facilitating the Building Social Skills group (a group for kids, utilizing Lego).
Alongside counseling at Agape, Tricia works as a school counselor, where she particularly enjoys advocating for children who are struggling in school academically, socially, or emotionally. She also enjoys addressing behavioral issues and developing behavior plans, and frequently works with teachers, directly, to help them implement new ideas for helping their students succeed.
Tricia is currently enrolled in a program to further her education,working toward a Graduate Certificate in Psychology with a Specialization in Play Therapy. Prior to working with Agape, she founded a nonprofit organization that works with parents who are grieving pregnancy or infant loss.
