  1. I am in the Florissant area and I am interested in learning more about your premarital counseling. Is there any information you can send me? Do you charge couples as one or separate? How long is each session? How soon can we get an appointment? We wish to start counseling ASAP but just need more information.

    • Hello, Our Hazelwood location would be perfect for you! We have a sliding fee scale and we also take most insurances. Couples are charged as one. Typically, clients come in once a week for an hour long (50 minute) session. This can vary on a case by case basis which can be determined between you and your counselor. After our intake coordinators gather some basic information from you, your counselor will call you within 24 – 48 hours to schedule your appointment.

Our intake staff is excited to help you connect with your counselor, please feel free to call our main office at 314-994-9344, or fill in our contact form here to get started.

  2. I like yo know if you offer training for those who are pursuing a career in biblical counseling? Thank you.

    • Hello Robin, We offer internships for counseling students who are working on their graduate counseling degree. If you are interested in applying for you internship, you can send a cover letter and resume to jwebb@agapeccs.com to be considered for an interview. Thank you!

  3. Hi,
Im interested in your marriage counseling.. My husband and I have been having difficulties and we have a baby on the way due in Oct. I know you’re a Christian counseling group, but my husband isn’t religious (I am). I wasn’t sure if it was religiou based counseling because he would be turned off by that/ wouldn’t be open to it. I just wasn’t sure on that type of protocol.
    I hope that makes sense.

    • Hello Emily, Your question does make sense, and it is one that we hear often! Our policy is to meet clients where they are. While all of our counselors are Christians, and are equipped to bring Biblical knowledge and values into counseling when and where clients are open to it, it is not something that we would push on a client who is not open to it. We believe that it is important to respect our clients’ personal beliefs and values and make the counseling room a safe place to be heard.
